meet Andre

I had a clicking and popping in my jaw joints for years. It wasn’t painful, but it was unbearably annoying! I wasn’t really sure if I had a problem but I wanted to see if it was something I should be addressing. Another patient referred me here to request more information on a TMJ analysis from Dr. Barnett. After an easy examination I started a program designed for me and, before long – no more clicking or popping! My jaw felt back in place and balanced.

Andre's Symptoms & Condition

  • Clicking and popping of his joints for years without pain

Andre's Solution After an examination and panoramic radiograph and a T Scan assessment, we discussed TMD and his place on its spectrum; he agreed to several rehabilitative sessions, an orthotic and occlusal adjustment.  After wearing the orthotic and undergoing a couple of sessions, we reassessed his bite force balance with the T Scan and adjusted those places necessary to provide a more evenly balanced bite that will enable the muscles to be in more in balance.  In combination with the rehab therapies this adjustment enables the muscles and nerves to heal themselves.
